The RED AUTOSAR Editor is a desktop developer tool that provides functionalities for simple but otherwise manually time consuming tasks. It was developed based on the needs and regular reviews of embedded software engineers, but it's not meant only for the embedded engineering, because many other areas in the automotive industry need information about the car network, like online data collectors, or trace processing applications.
